Privacy Policy
Grove Network is operated by BOT-HOLDINGS, LLC ("Grove Network," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Grove Network website and mobile app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the web app you sign into (via the "Log in" link on this site) and to the Grove Network mobile app, which loads that same service.

1. Who this service is for
Grove Network is a professional-networking and referral platform for local business communities ("Groves"). It is intended for business professionals who are at least 18 years old. Grove Network is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information, all of which you or another member provides directly through the app — Grove Network does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or device location tracking of any kind.
Account & profile information
- Email address and password (your password is hashed with bcrypt before it is stored — we never store or transmit it in plain text and cannot see it).
- Name, and optionally a profile photo, company name, company logo, business description, personal bio, LinkedIn URL, phone number, and a free-text description of your business's service area (this is a text description you write, such as "Southwest Florida" — it is not derived from your device's GPS or location services, and Grove Network does not collect device location).
- Profile photos and company logos are stored as part of your account record in our database; we do not use a separate third-party image-hosting or CDN service for them.
Activity & content you create
- "Needs" you post (title and description of something you're looking for help with), notes you add to 1-1s and Introductions, referrals you send or receive, Vouches you give or receive about other members, and your responses (RSVPs) to Grove events.
- Match decisions (who you save, dismiss, or connect with from recommendations) and your Grove membership history.
Information about people who are not Grove Network members
- When you send a referral to someone who doesn't have a Grove Network account, you may enter that person's name, and optionally their email and company, so the referral can be tracked. By entering this information you confirm that you are authorized to share it with us for this purpose. If you are that referred person and want your information removed, contact us at dev@codedatda.casa.
Billing information
- Grove Network membership is a paid subscription. Payment is processed by Stripe through Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Customer Portal — we do not receive or store your card number or other payment card details. We keep a record of your subscription status (such as trial, active, or canceled) and Stripe's reference IDs for your customer and subscription so we can display and manage your membership.
Google Calendar (optional)
- If you choose to connect Google Calendar from Settings, we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens Google issues so we can create and manage calendar events on your behalf for Grove events. This is entirely optional, off by default, and you can disconnect it at any time from Settings, which removes the stored tokens.
3. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you when you log in.
- To operate core features: matching you with other members, displaying Needs and events, tracking Introductions, Referrals, and Vouches, and running the referral rewards program.
- To process membership payments and communicate about your subscription (via Stripe).
- To create calendar events on your behalf, only if you've connected Google Calendar.
- To communicate with you about your account, such as service or security notices.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including suspending accounts that violate our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app/cross-site tracking.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Grove Network, and with other members as part of how the product works:
- Other members — your profile, posts, Needs, Vouches, and Grove activity are visible to other members of your Grove(s) as intended by the product.
- Supabase — hosts our PostgreSQL database, where your account and activity data is stored.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the Grove Network web application.
- Stripe — processes membership payments and stores your payment method and billing history under its own privacy policy.
- Google — only if you connect Google Calendar, to create and manage calendar events on your behalf.
We do not share your information with data brokers or advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Grove Network or our members, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and activity information for as long as your account is active, so the service can function (for example, so past Introductions and Referrals remain meaningful to the other members involved). When you delete your account (see below), your personal information is deleted immediately, except where retaining a limited record is necessary — for example, billing records Stripe keeps for tax and accounting purposes, moderation reports we retain without your identity attached, or records of something another member did that merely referenced you (in which case we remove your identifying details rather than deleting their record). Residual copies may also persist briefly in routine backups until they are cycled out.
6. Your choices and account deletion
You can review and update most of your profile information at any time from your Profile and Settings pages, and you can disconnect Google Calendar from Settings at any time.
Account deletion: You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account in the web app or in the iOS or Android app. You'll be asked to re-enter your password to confirm. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. A step-by-step version of these instructions is published on our delete account page.
Deleting your account removes your profile (name, email, password, photo, company details, bio, LinkedIn URL, phone number and service area), your Grove memberships, the Needs you posted, the 1-1s you logged, the Introductions you made or were part of, the Vouches you gave and received, events you created, your event RSVPs, your match decisions, any blocks you created, any Google Calendar tokens you had connected, and any contacts you added for people who aren't Grove Network members. If you were the only organizer of a Grove that still has other members, the longest-standing remaining member becomes its organizer so the Grove keeps running; if you were its only member, the Grove is deleted with your account.
Two things are deliberately kept. Moderation reports involving your account are retained so we can act on repeated abuse, but your identity is removed from them — they no longer reference you as the reporter or the reported member. And Stripe retains its own invoice and payment records under its policy, because tax and accounting law requires it; your membership subscription is cancelled before your account is deleted, so you are not billed again.
If you've lost access to your account and can't complete those steps, email dev@codedatda.casa from the address associated with your account and we will verify the request and delete it for you.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and hashing passwords with bcrypt so we never store them in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International users
Grove Network is operated from the United States, and the third-party providers described above (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Google) may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. By using Grove Network, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
